Traditional Clergy Apparel
Wearing traditional clergy attire is a great tool for evangelization and tending to the flock; it allows a priest to be easily recognizable as a servant of God, and it is so different from regular secular dress that it is sure to turn heads. As a priest, I want to wear a cassock everywhere - to the grocery, to restaurants, to the doctor, etc. Wearing a cassock in public is a great way to entice Catholic strangers to approach me for confession, questions about the faith, and other requests that the faithful may have. It also gives non-Catholics an opportunity to ask questions, and maybe even join the church if they have a positive encounter with me.
